but wow I think the thing that makes me the angriest about him is beyond just the way he treats cas through all of season 6

it’s the fact that the only time he really shows any good faith in him is when he’s in denial about the possibility of cas working with crowley

the one time he shows any real appreciation for everything castiel does for him and it’s just because he doesn’t want to admit that someone outside of him and sam could be working with a demon because for anyone else it’s Not Okay

Not to mention that the only reason this scene was in the episode in the first place, was to make Dean seem like ~victim~ here. It wasn’t about him ~trusting~ poor, misguided, foolish baby-in-a-trench-coat Castiel, it was about bringing the audience on his side and making them go, “Baw, poor, poor Dean.”
